From the Perspective of a Student Athlete
Living a healthy lifestyle means the world to me. My name is Sarah Clements, and I am a three-sport athlete at Epping High School. Being healthy all my life has allowed me to have confidence, make friends, and find activities that I truly love. Living a healthy lifestyle isn’t always easy, especially with school taking away time and adding stress, but I am not myself if I am not being healthy. Eating right, exercising, and trying to get enough sleep are just some of the things I try to do every day, so I can be as ready as possible for whatever is thrown at me, from a test to a competition to a tough day at work. Playing sports is a huge part of my life, and I couldn’t imagine not being able to participate in them just because I was unwilling to live a healthy lifestyle, it’s part of who I am.
I am the Student Assistance Prevention Counselor for our school and it is wonderful to have the Life of an Athlete program. I bring in any sort of drug prevention that makes sense for our students. I …
